About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Practitioner to join our team at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a variety of needs, including physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse, and autism.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing social support to individuals, including assisting them to engage with their communities and plan and attend outings to various clubs and leisure activities.
  • Administering and monitoring medication, as well as providing medical support to individuals.
  • Assisting individuals with personal care, including promoting their wellbeing and assisting with showering/bathing, dressing, and arranging visits with professionals.
  • Providing practical support to individuals, including helping them to maintain their tenancy and encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, and shopping.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work weekends, shift patterns, and sleepovers if required. You will also need to be able to register with the SSSC within 3 months of your start date.
