Drive International Equity Transactions in the Renewable Energy Sector

As a Senior Transaction Manager within our dynamic Business Development team, you'll play a pivotal role in the divestment of renewable energy and battery storage projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Sales, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of international equity transactions, ensuring their successful execution from initiation to closure.

Your Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management:
    • Lead the day-to-day management of multiple international equity transactions concurrently, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors as needed.
    • Oversee the selection and engagement of financial and legal advisors, ensuring their alignment with project objectives and commercial terms.
    • Collaborate with colleagues and advisors to develop high-quality transaction materials, including information memorandums (IMs) and financial models.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of transaction documentation from a commercial perspective, liaising with legal counsel on any legal complexities.
  • Negotiation & Execution:
    • Take the lead in negotiations with investors, representing ib vogt's interests and collaborating with joint venture partners and internal stakeholders.
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely execution of transactions, including seamless integration with legal, tax, and technical teams.
  • Strategic Support:
    • Assist the Head of Project Sales in identifying key target investors and developing relationships within relevant markets.
    • Contribute to the assessment of commercial merits and risks associated with proposed transactions, providing comprehensive transaction updates and summaries.
    • Share valuable insights gained from completed transactions with colleagues, contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Your Profile

We seek a highly motivated and experienced professional with a proven track record in renewable energy M&A or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience successfully originating, managing, and closing transactions within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong academic background and fluency in English language; additional European language skills are highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and a deep understanding of value drivers for renewable energy projects.
  • A strong commercial instinct and a willingness to engage in diverse projects across the business.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally for short-term assignments as required.
