About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Cost Manager to join our team at Gleeds. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage costs and budgets of construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and maintenance works
  • Provide cost advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement cost planning strategies
  • Settle final accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues related to construction projects
  • Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent
  • Mentor and coach employees to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across the business
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning
  • Cohesive knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
  • Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts
