Job Title: Field Support Technician

Princess Yachts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Support Technician to join our team at our Newport Street site in Plymouth.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and document the condition of a vessel or a quality concern on behalf of the business.
  • Undertake rectification works authorised by the business both in the UK and Overseas.
  • Represent the business in a professional and courteous manner at all times, being respectful of customers, their yacht(s) and the circumstances that require intervention by Princess Yachts Limited.

  • Fix First Time
  • Exceed customer expectations
Responsibilities/ Tasks:
  • Carry out high quality works in line with GWI and best practice.
  • Be respectful of the yacht, ensuring access routes and working areas are fully protected prior to works commencing.
  • Ensure that all waste is disposed of in accordance with local regulations and that the yacht is cleaned prior to sign off.
  • Liaising with Distributors and PYL colleagues to determine the scope of works and deliver Fix First Time.
  • Working onboard yachts in marinas, shipyards or private residences.
  • Travelling for extended periods of time and working out of hours to complete jobs in agreed timeframes.
  • Travelling at short notice.
Main Competency:
  • Grade 7 or equivalent experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and familiarity with:
    • Princess Model range.
    • Princess Build Standards & Processes.
    • Electrical and Mechanical systems installed on Princess craft.
    • GRP & Carpentry processes.
