About the Role:

The successful candidate will be part of the Gas Operations leadership team responsible for delivering a complex, high-value infrastructure programme for Cadent Gas. As a Project Manager, you will lead the integrated project teams to safely deliver the portfolio of projects in line with contracts and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage resources to ensure the most cost-effective model is deployed.
  • Cost Management: Manage costs throughout the life cycle of each project.
  • Commercial Management: Monitor and review commercial expectations and quality standards.
  • Health and Safety: Champion health and safety for the programme of works.
  • Team Development: Build and develop a skilled and sustainable team to support programme delivery.
  • Client Relationship: Build and maintain a strong relationship with the client and gas construction senior team.
  • Performance Management: Deliver a successful performance management model.
  • Supply Chain Management: Ensure a suitable supply chain is in place to support programme delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience at project management level in a similar environment is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Gas, construction, or utilities industry is essential.
  • Leadership Qualities: Outstanding leadership qualities are required.
  • Health and Safety Focus: A strong health and safety focus is essential.
  • Engineering Knowledge: A knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering would be useful, though not essential.
