Job Introduction

At Turning Point, we are a leading provider of substance misuse services in England and Wales, dedicated to helping individuals recover from addiction and regain control of their lives. Our City and Hackney service is a fully integrated adult service delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend, focusing on collaborative working to support those in need.

Role Responsibility

The Senior Substance Misuse Nurse will provide clinical leadership and development of our Nursing Team, offering supervision to Specialist Substance Misuse Nurses and direction to non-clinical staff. As a professional role model, you will advocate for evidence-based clinical practice in alcohol dependency and substance misuse, working closely with existing staff to develop and implement protocols.

About the Role
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the Nursing Team
  • Develop and implement evidence-based protocols for alcohol withdrawal and substance misuse management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care plans and discharge plans
  • Deliver staff training and CPD to promote best practice
  • Contribute to effective clinical governance and incident reporting
