About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Senior Substance Use Nurse at Turning Point. As a Senior Substance Use Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to individuals experiencing difficulties with substance misuse and alcohol dependency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to Specialist Substance Misuse Nurses and line management to non-clinical staff.
  • Develop, implement, and promote evidence-based alcohol withdrawal and substance misuse management protocols.
  • Act as a point of contact for a cross-site, multi-disciplinary team of colleagues involved in the management and prevention of physical and psychosocial adverse consequences of alcohol and substance misuse.
  • Deliver educational tools to ensure appropriate referral to existing Trust and community-based alcohol services at Turning Point.
  • Support the organization and coordination of monitoring and audits of compliance, performance, and outcome of standards compatible with best practice.
