About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Digital Midwife and Deputy Chief Nursing Information Officer to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to lead the development and adoption of digital technologies to support midwifery practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of digital strategies to improve patient outcomes and efficiency in midwifery services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver digital solutions that meet the needs of midwives and patients.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to support the Trust's developments in digital technology.
  • Act as a translator and main point of liaison for midwifery staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring midwifery adoption and engagement in the use of technology.
  • Work towards the ambitions of Better Births to evaluate the maternity IT system and its abilities to meet the recommendations.
Requirements
  • Registered Midwife with a strong clinical background and experience in midwifery practice.
  • First-level degree in a related healthcare field and evidence of postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Teaching qualification and experience in teaching and assessing in all clinical areas.
  • Advanced level skills in MS Word and Excel, with demonstrable skills in report writing and investigation.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to work professionally under pressure and deadlines.
