The IRI-PMO, a team under UK Research and Innovation closely aligned with the UK Civil Service, is tasked with managing the allocation of funds to UK partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate levels of assurance for ISPF and legacy ODA funds.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on assurance-related activities, providing guidance on assurance types and requirements across the PMO and the International R&I funds team.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the assurance framework and Assurance Plan.
  • Negotiate funding allocations and assurance letters with external partners, sponsorship colleagues, and legal teams.
  • Address assurance-related inquiries, issues, external reviews, due diligence, fraud processes, and audits.
