Role Overview:

The Senior Automotive Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of automotive engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Essential Skills - Expertise in Door Finishing, Glass Movement, and Sealing Techniques.
  • Guarantee that all design solutions align with:
  1. Bill of Design (BOD) and Bill of Process (BOP) criteria.
  2. Project objectives regarding cost efficiency and weight management.
  3. Legal standards and Requirements Management & Design Verification documentation.
  4. Optical Quality and Premium Consumer Product Audit (PCPA) benchmarks.
  5. Quality history and DFMEA deliverables.
  • Timely completion of Preliminary Engineering Sign-off (PEC) and Final Engineering Sign-off.
  • Delivery of Commodity PSW in accordance with project timelines.
  • Utilize recognized problem-solving techniques and the Automated Issue Management System (AIMS) for effective resolution aligned with project metrics.
  • Manage supplier relationships.
  • Adopt an Agile approach to project management.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • Proven experience in leading the resolution of technical and process challenges within a project team.
  • Strong understanding of product development, change control, and management processes.
  • Familiarity with automotive closure systems, including Glass, plastics, rubbers, composites, or BIW.
  • Proficient in creating 2D sections and 3D models using Catia V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck.
  • Knowledge of GD&T application.
  • Experience in gauge design.
  • Background in kinematic systems.
  • Valid driving license.
