Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Unilever, a leading global FMCG company. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of our inventory and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that all materials are available to meet agreed production plans while maintaining stocks within agreed company targets.
  • Delivery Scheduling: Routinely prepare delivery schedules (call-offs), considering all material guidelines, supplier constraints, and plan requirements.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Examine material schedules, review orders and call-offs, and bring any issues to the attention of the Demand Planner/Scheduler.
  • Supplier Management: Manage the delivery schedule and negotiate short notice/urgent requirements with Suppliers, Warehouse, and Security.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Proactively negotiate, observe, and maintain information flow between suppliers and Sourcing Unit personnel to maintain a responsive supply chain.
  • Inventory Control: Adhere to the weekly IVMI (Internal Vendor Managed Inventory) process, identify improvement areas, and work closely with suppliers and obsolete planners to ensure minimal obsolete.
  • Order Management: Responsible for clearing USCC DCIW Purchase order queries (invoicing and stock queries).
  • Supply Chain Improvement: Keep suppliers regularly informed about delists and removing stock build targets to avoid obsolete materials after last productions.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Service: Ensure world-class customer service from the Leeds Supply Chain Unit.
  • Volume and Output Reliability: Ensure material availability to support volume out output reliability of the Supply Chain Unit.
  • Cost: Minimize OLE impacts to site and minimize business waste.
  • Quality: Ensure product changes happen in a coordinated manner to avoid quality issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in Raw & Pack Planning and SAP knowledge, also be proficient using MS Excel to intermediate level.
