Ward Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of our Female Acute Ward, ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the assessment of care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for clients with mental health needs.
- Participate in ward meetings, initiating and discussing new methods and models of care, and introducing research or trials within a designated area.
- Ensure the environment is maintained to high standards at all times, and that all CQC standards are upheld.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of the ward.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care and treatment for our patients.
- Registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) Part 3.
- Meet the requirements for revalidation as set out by the NMC.
- Proven experience of working in a health or social care setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience of working with, supervising lower-banded staff.
- Ability to supervise and conduct highly complex assessments and reviews of care.
