Job Title: Funeral Administrator

At Peasgood & Skeates, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Funeral Administrator to join our team. As a Funeral Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting clients through the funeral arranging process, advising them on the range of options and funeral types available, and liaising with stakeholders to deliver the funeral in line with client instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients through the funeral arranging process, providing guidance and advice on funeral options and types.
  • Advise clients on the range of funeral services and products available, including funeral types, coffins, and memorials.
  • Liaise with funeral directors, undertakers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of funerals.
  • Process funeral paperwork, including death certificates, funeral plans, and other documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of funeral services, including client information, funeral details, and payment records.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the funeral industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Publisher, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
