About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bespoke Engineer to join our team at EES Solutions. As a Bespoke Engineer, you will be responsible for working with our automotive clients to deliver high-performance versions of existing models, luxury bespoke commissions, heritage models, and individually tailored vehicles.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for fostering strong links and partnerships with core teams, quality teams, the supply base, our bespoke operations team, and our unique manufacturing plants and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement change, managing expectations of cross-functional teams and delivering robust and quality engineering solutions.
  • Continually investigate and improve existing processes.
  • Support logistical necessities between sites for the engineering teams.
  • Maintain and report the status of projects at agreed milestones.
  • Engage with core counterparts, influencing as a credible stakeholder.
  • Recognise system compatibilities and attributes.
  • Review manuf WES, ctrl plans, and PFMEA, ensuring engineering cascades have been acted on, conversely, highlighting where engineering cascades are missing.
  • Attend Agile meetings, launch management meetings, quality reviews, and as appropriate, provide clear status and plans.
  • Own engineering warranty issues via IQM or running change issues (AIMS).
  • Champion change that has an effect on the engineering BOM.
  • Generate and maintain a clear understanding of the manufacturing process flows.
  • Champion lessons learned.
Requirements
  • Technical knowledge and automotive engineering experience of interior and exterior trim commodities and a basic knowledge of paint systems and processes.
  • A good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, issue definition, and the change management process.
  • Knowledge of Digi-Buck and 3DLive or equivalent experience of other systems.
  • Strong influencing and engagement skills, ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way, whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with experience in data analysis and PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
