Job Title: Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer

Wood Process & Energy is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide technical expertise on project scope within our Process & Energy business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to engineering studies, including design reviews, HAZOP, SIL, and Constructability reviews
  • Review and develop equipment data sheets, specifications, and enquiry requisitions
  • Review documentation and specification requirements for integration within project
  • Prepare and manage project documentation effectively
  • Proactively support requirements of other engineering discipline teams to enable concurrent design activities
  • Raise value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
  • Correspond with suppliers on technical matters and ensure timely action is taken to maintain quality, cost, and schedule agreements
Requirements:
  • Experience with a wide range of packaged and mechanical equipment
  • Previous experience in carrying out a Lead Engineer role within a project environment is preferred
  • Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working for an EPC contractor, operator, or consultancy on metals refining, refinery, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or oil & gas projects
  • Computer literate with common software packages, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience in supporting engineering design reviews
