Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled General Adult consultant psychiatrist to join our West Sussex Care Delivery Service on a fixed-term basis. The role is based in Coral Ward, which provides in-patient care and treatment for adults.

This exciting opportunity attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, in addition to a relocation allowance of up to £8,000.

  • £5,000 payment on appointment
  • £5,000 retention payment at 12 months
  • £6,500 retention payment at 30 months
  • £8,500 retention payment at 48 months

The payment is pro rata for part-time employees.

This role offers opportunities for research, development, medical education, or special interests.

On appointment, you will have access to the Trust-wide consultant network and peer support from colleagues in West Sussex.

  • Eligible for GMC Specialist Register or within six months
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
  • In good standing with GMC
  • Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience within NHS or comparable services
