Main Responsibilities

You will foster and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in our services. You will engage in direct clinical activities for at least 60% of your working hours. As a senior team member, you will manage daily operations of the unit, supporting the Clinical Lead and mentoring junior staff members.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC registration), with a health-related degree and evidence of relevant postgraduate development at Level 6. Evidence of postgraduate specialist qualifications pertinent to the area of practice (e.g., Non-medical prescribing, Mentorship, Coaching, Minor Illness Management, Minor Injury Management, Consultation skills, Physical Examination skills, X-Ray interpretation).
- Management or supervisory qualification/program of study.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in a Primary Care environment, PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE, or Certificate in Education. Working towards Master’s level study.
Experience
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated NHS and clinical experience in the relevant practice area (UTC), including a minimum of two years at band 6 in an Acute/Care Urgent Treatment Centre. Experience in leading and managing teams. Practical experience in managing health-related projects/complex caseloads. Evidence of supporting others (mentor/educator/supervisor) experience.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with clinical software systems and Microsoft applications, including IT packages such as E-Pay and E-Roster.
Special Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria
- Understanding of UK National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance relevant to the UTC care setting and its application across NHS healthcare services. Evidence of continued relevant professional development and its implementation in practice within the last 12 months. Proven ability to develop effective partnerships to achieve practical outcomes across organizational boundaries, including statutory organizations, external agencies, and community and voluntary organizations.
