We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Patient Leader. As a Patient Leader, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare services at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in MDT interviews, policy reviews, quality improvement projects, and steering/working groups to influence and shape decisions at all levels.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve patient care and experience.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Trust to build on established relationships between health professionals, patients, carers, and the public.
- Ensure the voice and needs of patients are represented at all levels of the organisation.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve healthcare services.
- Good all-round education.
- Experience of healthcare systems as a patient or carer.
- Desirable: evidence of recent appropriate experience, such as customer relations, quality management, or business management.
As a Patient Leader, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be part of a team that is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
We offer a comprehensive training program, which includes Myers Briggs testing, to enhance your understanding of yourself, your motivations, and your potential areas for growth.
As a Patient Leader, you will be expected to commit to the role for a minimum of 2 years, after completing the training program. After this time, you can opt to continue if you wish.
We encourage applications from individuals who are passionate about improving healthcare services and have a willingness to develop an understanding of NHS services.
Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer role, and you will be required to specify the number of hours you are able to volunteer on a weekly basis.
