We are seeking an experienced Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist to join our team at The Spinney Hospital in Atherton, Manchester. As a valued member of our Psychology department, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the development of our services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs. You will work closely with our nursing, allied health professionals, social workers, and physical health teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions, cognitive assessments, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and contribute to service developments within the psychology team.
- Provide high-quality clinical supervision to assistant psychologists and/or trainees.
- Support staff development through training, consultation, and formulation meetings.
- Contribute to the development of our services and ensure high standards of care in all areas of practice.
- Postgraduate/Doctorate level qualification in Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling Psychology.
- Current registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- We welcome applications from newly qualified Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologists or those about to qualify.
