Job Title: Part-time Book Keeper

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-time Book Keeper to join our team at Parkside. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process financial transactions, including invoicing and payment processing.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist in preparing payroll and ensure all relevant data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights into the company's financial health.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial records.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
About Us:

Parkside is a small but successful company, and this is a brand new role due to the increase in work. We offer a permanent part-time position, working 5 days a week, 20 hours, with a competitive hourly rate of £15.50-£18.00 depending on experience.

This role would suit those who are AAT qualified with bookkeeping experience and those seeking to work part-time long-term, such as parents wishing to work school hours or those who prefer a good work-life balance.
