Senior Commercial Account Executive

Location: Harrogate

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced producing Commercial Insurance Broker to support Vermelo RPO’s growth.

They must have held a role at the Account Executive level and possess expertise in handling the placement of insurance programs for commercial clients across Property, Liability, Motor, and Financial Lines.

This is a hybrid opportunity that requires a strong understanding of the insurance industry and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously identify areas for improvement and provide potential solutions to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver good outcomes for customers by putting their interests first and ensuring they understand our products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their insurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Lead the placement of insurance programs, negotiating terms and conditions with underwriters to secure competitive coverage for clients.
  • Analyse client risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance products to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Actively prospect and generate new business opportunities to expand the client portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and claims specialists, to deliver seamless service to clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market developments to provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial insurance brokerage, with a strong understanding of Property, Liability, Motor, and Financial Lines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and underwriters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and provide potential solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and market developments.
