About the Role:
- Manage Cloud and On-Premises Infrastructure: Ensure that the technology supporting world-leading cancer research is robust, secure, and future-proof.
- Oversee Networking Transition: Guide the move from Cisco to Extreme Networks while working closely with third-party providers.
- Lead a Team: Manage a team of IT professionals and drive professional growth.
- Drive Innovation: Collaborate with researchers to identify and implement new technologies that enhance research capabilities.
- Ensure Business Continuity: Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
- Strong Background in Networking and Infrastructure Management: Proven experience with Extreme Networks and Cisco.
- Deep Understanding of Azure: Ability to design and implement cloud-based solutions.
- Excellent Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams and drive professional growth.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with researchers, IT staff, and other stakeholders.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: £65,000 to £69,000 per annum.
