Job Summary

Compass Associates is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Registered General Manager to lead our luxury nursing and residential home in the Newbury area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement effective operational strategies to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance the resident experience.
  • Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of healthcare professionals and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage the home's budget, monitor expenses, and ensure financial sustainability. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents' families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with our services. Represent the home in the local community and maintain a positive image.
  • Quality Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the quality of care and services. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the resident experience.

Requirements:

  • Nurse qualified with an active PIN (RGN / RMN / RNLD)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a managerial role within a nursing home, ideally focused within the luxury care market.
  • Previous experience of managing a large-sized nursing home, and a strong track record of CQC compliance.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with a proven track record of success, and the ability to thrive in an autonomous role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
