At East Sussex County Council, we offer a range of outdoor activities designed for the entire community, engaging with educational institutions, local groups, and international student cohorts. Our programs include day trips, residential experiences, and ongoing development courses tailored to various needs.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated activity instructors to join our team on a flexible basis throughout the summer season.

Your daily responsibilities will encompass the preparation and execution of courses and sessions relevant to your qualifications, as well as the maintenance and care of equipment. You will also assist with rental services and residential programs. Instructors will operate across multiple sites:

  • The Eastbourne team specializes in RYA sailing, windsurfing, wing surfing, powerboating, and paddle sports.
  • The Cuckmere team focuses on kayaking, open canoeing, paddleboarding, and guided tours, ideal for those leading paddle sports.
  • The Bushy Wood team provides land-based activities for local youth organizations and offers residential packages for schools and student groups.
