We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a Quality Assurance Software Engineer within the Aviation Sector. Our client stands as a prominent figure in the design and production of customized, high-performance radar antennas for both commercial and military applications.

With a global footprint that includes over 500 installations across more than 60 nations, our client is looking to enhance their engineering team with a skilled Software Engineer.

This role is structured as a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension and a potential transition to a permanent position thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team to generate safety assurance documentation for various civil and military initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of air and surface surveillance radar systems aimed at detecting aircraft for Air Traffic Control purposes.
  • Establish and implement software quality management strategies for safety-critical software applications.
  • Supervise project design, execution, and testing to ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
  • Create standards and procedures to assess product quality and readiness for release.
  • Identify and address software performance and compliance challenges.
  • Investigate and adopt new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies.
  • Advise program management on risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Linux-based systems and database management.
  • Possession of professional certifications such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience with software safety and integrity assurance standards (e.g., DO-278A, ED-153, ED-109).
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, configuration management, and development tools.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and QT.
  • Experience with test scripting tools, analysis and modeling software, and scanning tools.
