TimePlan Education is in search of committed Special Educational Needs Support Assistants to join our team in an alternative educational setting.

We are looking for individuals who possess experience in guiding, mentoring, and providing support within a classroom environment.

The ideal candidates should be adept at managing challenging behaviors, including those associated with Autism and mental health issues, while maintaining a calm and engaging demeanor.

Many of our students present with additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as ASD, ADHD, and SpLD.


Experience in educational or care settings is preferred, but a strong willingness to acquire new skills to enhance behavior management and personal development is essential.

All roles will initially be contracted through the agency on a timesheet basis.


We welcome applicants with backgrounds in care, social work, mental health, or mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and SEND
• Maintain composure and effectively de-escalate challenging behaviors
• Hold a valid Enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new check
• Availability for 5 days a week for a minimum commitment of 3 months
