Deputy Home Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Home Manager to join our residential care home, which specializes in providing exceptional care for individuals with autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Home Manager in maintaining the highest standards of care and support for residents.
  • Oversee the management of the residential care home, ensuring its effective and efficient operation.
  • Provide strong leadership by supervising and guiding care staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Customize and oversee the implementation of care plans, placing emphasis on each resident's well-being and independence.
  • Engage with external professionals, families, and stakeholders to advocate for the best interests of the residents.
  • Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all residents and staff.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care or above, showcasing a solid foundation in care practices and expertise in supporting individuals with autism.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in a senior role within a residential care setting, specifically with individuals with autism.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and team management within a compassionate and empathetic environment.
  • A person-centred approach with a genuine passion for working with individuals with autism, demonstrating empathy and dedication to enhancing their quality of life.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in residential care, ensuring compliance and the delivery of high-quality care.
