Key Responsibilities
At Noah's Ark Children's Hospice, we require dedicated pediatric nurses to assist infants, children, and adolescents facing serious health challenges in maximizing their daily experiences. We are looking for professionals who wish to dedicate more time to the children under their care. You will work in a nurturing environment designed to foster joy, play, and genuine connections, characterized by a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

As part of our Specialist Care Team, your role will involve caring for children who are in residence at our facility and those who visit for day care. Our model prioritizes family choice, enabling you to support children in their homes and community settings.

Our facility, designed with input from families, offers accessible outdoor experiences, including a nature trail through a serene environment, a hydrotherapy pool, and accommodations for families wishing to stay close to their loved ones. We provide specialized care and nursing for infants, children, and young people, addressing their comprehensive clinical, emotional, social, and practical needs. Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced or senior Band 5 nurse looking to apply and expand their skills in the hospice environment. You will have exceptional clinical and communication skills, a creative mindset, and a desire to contribute positively to our organization.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse Child Branch
- Relevant post-qualification experience at staff nurse band 5 level
Desirable
- Teaching qualification, mentorship, or a willingness to pursue such qualifications.
- Experience in supporting students during placements as a practice supervisor or assessor.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in team nursing or management, or in supporting students and junior staff.
- Experience in leading a multi-skilled team or evidence of leadership with support from senior nursing staff.
Desirable
- At least two years of post-registration experience, including a minimum of one year working with children with life-limiting or complex medical needs.
- Demonstrated experience in palliative care for children with life-threatening conditions.
- Previous experience with children requiring specialized medical interventions.
- Experience with intravenous line care and therapies.
