Key Responsibilities
Become a part of our dynamic Division of Psychology and Psychological Therapies (DPPT) during an exciting period of transformation, focusing on the 'Living Well' Community Mental Health Framework and trauma-informed care within our teams. These initiatives emphasize collaboration, lived experiences, and compassionate relationships, positioning DPPT Services at the forefront of these developments.
You will engage in both individual and group clinical work alongside your colleagues, promoting psychological principles by providing advice and consultation, as well as supervision and training to fellow professionals and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to service enhancement.
We are dedicated to supporting our staff in managing complex cases, offering access to training for working with intricate trauma, and providing specialized supervision in various therapeutic modalities. Our commitment to research is strong, with numerous opportunities available within our newly established Division.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- A good Honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) and eligibility for Graduate membership of the BPS
- A postgraduate doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996)
- Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC
- Eligibility for Chartered status with the BPS
- Post-qualification training in supervision of other psychologists
- Experience in assessment and intervention for individuals with complex mental health issues
Desirable
- Additional training in a specific therapeutic model
- Chartered status with the BPS
Skills and Personal Attributes
Essential
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying complex and sensitive information effectively
- A strong enthusiasm for psychology, particularly in relation to mental health challenges, and a desire to develop skills in managing complex trauma
- Ability to meet the travel requirements of the position
