We are seeking a talented and ambitious graduate to join our Civil Engineer Graduate Programme in Derby. As a graduate engineer, you will play a key role in the operation and maintenance of our 132kV electricity network, comprising overhead lines, underground cables, and substations.
As part of our 18-month graduate programme, you will have a tailored development pathway to support your growth and development. You will attend in-person and virtual development sessions to equip you with the essential skills required to succeed in your role.
Our graduate programme is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the electricity distribution industry, as well as the skills and knowledge required to excel in your role. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including asset replacement, network reinforcement, and new connections.
We are committed to the personal development of our colleagues, and you will have access to 121 coaching and a mentor to support your transition from campus to corporate life.
Key Responsibilities- Organise and manage individual tasks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Minimise risk to the security of the distribution network.
- Identify training needs of own and other team members and provide training in civil activities.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in performance and implement or recommend changes.
You will need to achieve a minimum 2:2 in an Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Sciences, or Data Sciences degree discipline. You will also need to have a full valid UK driving license that allows you to drive in the UK.
