About the Role:
As a key member of our team at boxxe, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, driving efficient operations and maintaining high standards of cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Streamlined Processes: Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to optimize the SOC's performance, ensuring timely and effective responses to security incidents.
- Monitor and Analyze Security Events: Continuously monitor security events, analyze threats, and coordinate effective responses to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect our systems and data.
- Lead and Mentor the SOC Team: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to enhance the skills and performance of the SOC team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Optimize Team Processes and Automations: Collaborate with the team to optimize processes, automations, and workflows, ensuring seamless integration and efficient ticket management.
- Conduct Regular Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.
Requirements:
- Extensive Knowledge of Technical Security Controls: Possess in-depth knowledge of technical security controls, including firewalls, IPS, endpoint security, web and email filtering, and network security logging.
- Ability to Provide Security Expertise: Provide security expertise, guidance, and assurance for complex projects, ensuring the highest standards of cybersecurity.
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and manage a team, and collaborate with stakeholders.
