  • Dismantling Equipment: Systematically disassemble machinery, conveyors, and other equipment in food production lines, ensuring all components are properly removed.
  • Decommissioning: Safely decommission machinery, following protocols to prevent contamination or damage to other operational areas.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare the site for strip-out activities, including isolating machinery from electrical, water, and other utility services.
  • Tool Operation: Utilize a range of hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment to facilitate the strip-out process.
  • Waste Management: Segregate, store, and dispose of materials and waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of removed equipment, parts, and materials, ensuring traceability and accountability.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe working practices.

Requirements:

  • Timeserved Engineering Apprenticeship: The successful candidate will ideally have completed a Timeserved engineering apprenticeship.
  • Background in FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing: A background in FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing will be a distinct advantage, however not a prerequisite.
  • Experience of Stripping out Food Production Equipment: Experience of stripping out food production equipment is essential.
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: You must be an excellent communicator and be able to plan and organize efficiently.
