Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Ipswich. The successful candidate will work in a specialist class, providing close support to children with complex special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with complex special educational needs in a specialist class
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of children with special needs
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group work to help children access the curriculum
  • Monitor and record children's progress, reporting back to teachers and other stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 'C' or equivalent
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
What We Offer:
  • A competitive rate of pay: £90 per day
  • A full-time position, working 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
