Special Needs Support Staff Wanted

Strategy Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants with experience of SEMH/Autism/ADHD/SPLD/PMLD/and SLD to join outstanding special needs schools and resourced provisions based in Suffolk.

We have long term contracts with immediate starts and long term and permanent contracts available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special education needs (SEND) in a SEN classroom environment.
  • Work with small groups or provide 1:1 support to students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and therapists to develop tailored learning plans.

About the Schools:

  • We are looking for Special needs teaching assistants in Suffolk.
  • Catering to students with a variety of special needs including speech, language and communication impairment, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, PMLD and SLD.
  • Both Permanent and contract work available with good rates of pay.
  • Schools offer thematic tailored curriculum with a focus on removing barriers to learning.
  • Supportive team environment amongst teaching and support staff and therapists.

Requirements:

  • Proven and relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant with a SEN classroom environment (minimum 6 weeks).
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa).
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks.
