Senior Exposure Management Analyst

This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in Exposure Management within the Insurance sector to significantly influence the analytical framework during a pivotal time for the organization.

An exciting position has become available in the Exposure Management Team at Aviva. This role is essential in overseeing our exposure management across various lines of business operated by UKGI on a global scale.

Exposure Management Pricing and Insight (EP&I) consists of technical experts across all commercial lines. The team plays a crucial role in numerous initiatives within Aviva, collaborating with all UK and Global Business units, including GCS, SME, Digital, Claims, Risk Management, and Actuarial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of exposure data utilizing both third-party and proprietary platforms, ensuring data integrity, precision, and compliance with internal standards in relation to Aviva's Risk appetite. Effectively relay any pertinent findings to the respective underwriters.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters to communicate portfolio aggregations within each class and across the broader business.
  • Assist in the advancement of Aviva's exposure management methodologies for non-modelled perils/territories and enhance existing practices.
  • Support the group rollup process and related reporting obligations for the Commercial division.
  • Demonstrate a proven history of data auditing. You will perform data quality analytics and partner with underwriters to enhance the completeness, resolution, and suitability of critical data inputs.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience within an Exposure Management team, with a solid understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance.
  • Hands-on experience in portfolio roll-up, establishing control frameworks, MI design, reporting, and effective communication.
  • Strong grasp of essential mathematical and statistical principles, along with Cat metrics such as PMLs and AALs.
  • Experience working within a robust control framework to ensure accurate reporting is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, along with strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Starting salary: London range of £50,000 to £75,000, National range of £40,000 to £50,000 (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
