About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Analyst to join our team at Avantor. As a key member of our Quality Control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our HPLC columns and in-house manufactured separation media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the quality control function, including routine product quality checks and ensuring that all finished products meet the required specifications.
  • Supervise and train junior analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Conduct final QC checks on goods prior to dispatch to customers, ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards.
  • Prepare and review QC SOPs, product specifications, and analytical QC performance tests to ensure lot-to-lot reproducibility.
  • Develop and implement analytical QC performance tests, including pore size, surface area, and particle sizing.
  • Lead routine maintenance and validation activities, ensuring that all equipment and processes meet the required standards.
  • Work with the wider QC team to carry out analytical QC release testing of in-house manufactured HPLC columns.
  • Ensure both your own and your colleague's safety by working in accordance with all relevant Production and Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English is essential.
  • A Bachelor of Science in analytical chemistry is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in analytical chemistry is required.
  • Experience of working in a laboratory operating to ISO9001 quality management system or equivalent is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Chromatography is essential.
