Job Description:
MICE Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop Business Partnerships: Foster existing and new business relationships to drive market share in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) segment of the travel industry.
- Sales and Client Meetings: Conduct sales calls, virtual and in-person client meetings, and attend industry conferences and events to secure new business opportunities.
- Proposal Development: Create client proposal documentation and support with content for the company website.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small team of 2, with opportunities for growth and development.
- Operational Support: Work cross-functionally with operational teams to ensure they deliver programs in line with client requirements.
- Contracting and Supplier Management: Collaborate with contracting teams to secure the right inventory and provide ad-hoc support with supplier management.
- Event Attendance: Occasionally attend key events to ensure the operational team delivers as agreed and enhance client relations.
MICE Manager Skills and Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Proven experience winning and delivering MICE programs in Europe.
- B2B Sales Experience: B2B sales experience in the MICE and/or Special Interest Tourism (SIT) sectors.
- MICE Package Development: Background in creating, proposing, and operating MICE packages.
- Team Leadership: Experience leading and developing small teams.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- International Travel: Flexible to travel internationally.
MICE Manager Additional Details:
- Salary and Bonus: Basic salary in the region of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, with bonus potential based on company and individual performance.
- Hybrid Working: Minimum of 2 days a week in Central London office.
