We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior nurse to join our team as a Sister/Charge Nurse. This is a senior role that requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and accountability.

About the Role

The Sister/Charge Nurse will be responsible for providing leadership to the nursing team, working in partnership with the Ward Manager, Matron, and Head of Nursing. This will involve contributing to further developing quality, patient experience, and patient safety agendas through improving quality methodology and Clinical Governance.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 18 months experience at Band 5 and will have led a team and worked autonomously. They will also have evidence of motivation and a desire to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to the nursing team
  • Work in partnership with the Ward Manager, Matron, and Head of Nursing
  • Contribute to developing quality, patient experience, and patient safety agendas
  • Lead by example and promote trust values
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
Requirements
  • Registered nurse
  • Diploma (or working towards)
  • Evidence of post-qualification specialist study
  • Assessor/mentor
  • Minimum 18 months experience at Band 5
  • Leading a team and working autonomously
  • Evidence of motivation
