Job Summary

Moffatt & Nichol, a leading global infrastructure consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our London office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our company's payroll.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process attendance records and other necessary documents for international payroll operations.
  • Verify payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order.
  • Coordinate with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires, salary changes, LOA).
  • Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks.
  • Update data with salary or wage adjustments.
  • Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, workers compensation).
  • Handle benefit expenses, like insurance fees or paid leave.
  • Generate reports to upper management upon request.
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve complaints regarding salaries and payments.
  • Collaborate with relevant authorities (e.g DIAN, HMRC) for audits or information requests, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and tax laws.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of HR Services practices, processes, and systems and respective documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Significant experience in payroll, preferably with a medium to large-sized organization.
  • International (outside US) payroll experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment with multiple project responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, positive, and takes pride in work and being an integral part of a committed team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency in ADP (WorkforceNow, Celergo, GMV) is preferred.
  • Fully bilingual English-Spanish.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of payroll processes.
