About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Team Leader to join our team at Liberty Steel Group. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of skilled craftsmen and apprentices in all aspects of the workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of skilled craftsmen and apprentices in all aspects of the workplace
  • Improve performance and reliability across site
  • Plan labour and material requirements for plant needs
  • Monitor and control attendance and holidays
  • Deliver technical and safety training
  • Undertake technician role as required
  • Carry out PPM inspections
  • Coordinate and supervise other services and contractors
  • Write and review risk assessments and procedures
  • Ensure business health and safety instructions are followed
  • Use the Maintenance management system to its full capability
  • Undertake training to learn new skills
Requirements
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship (HNC or ONC level or equivalent)
  • Sound plant engineering knowledge and experience of industrial systems
  • Self-starting driven individual capable of leading a small team
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to methodically fault find
  • Experience of working under permit systems
  • Customer-focused attitude with understanding of prioritisation
