Job Duties

  • Administer vaccinations to 20 to 25 schoolchildren per hour during flu season.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, organizational partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Advocate for and enhance the operation of our School Aged Immunisation Service.
  • Provide support to Programme Managers, Team Leads, and Clinical Leads as necessary.
  • Travel to various sites as required.
  • Deliver a competent, evidence-based level of care to patients.
  • Engage in clinical supervision and contribute to the performance and development of staff.
  • Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are documented, monitored, and addressed in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Participate in audits, offering recommendations based on findings and sharing insights with the team for collective learning.
  • Attend clinical supervision sessions with the Clinical Lead as directed.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute constructively.
  • Conduct Gillick Competency Assessments and obtain verbal consent from parents and guardians.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Familiarity with the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
  • Understanding and application of informed consent principles.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Customer service orientation and effective people management skills.
  • Assertive team player with critical thinking capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nurse or Midwife.
  • Relevant Nursing and/or Midwifery qualification.
