Harris Hill is pleased to partner with an Arts organization in the search for a Lead Philanthropy Strategist to fulfill a 12-month maternity leave position. Below are the essential role requirements, desired candidate qualifications, and responsibilities.
The Lead Philanthropy Strategist will be responsible for implementing effective strategies for ongoing contributions by enhancing the Partners program. This includes overseeing all facets such as recruitment, donor engagement, and growth strategies, as well as managing fundraising initiatives and campaigns. Collaboration with the Head of Individual Giving will be crucial to nurture individual donors and secure contributions for the charitable initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy aimed at increasing membership and fostering philanthropic involvement by refining fundraising pitches and proposals, including direct solicitations.
- Create engaging communications that promote awareness of the organization’s charitable goals and highlight activities that resonate with individual donors, whether for one-time contributions or long-term fundraising efforts.
- Partner with the Prospect Development Manager to identify and cultivate potential individual donors for memberships, appeals, and personal gifts, leading tailored outreach based on their interests and giving capacity.
- Collaborate to design and implement opportunities and events that enhance the membership experience through in-person engagements, effective communications, and digital innovations.
- Oversee an income and expenditure budget, ensuring accurate processing, recording, and acknowledgment of all donations received.
This role is ideally suited for a seasoned professional with a strong grasp of donor engagement, stewardship, and prospect research methodologies. Familiarity with the visual arts or museum sector is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
Candidates should possess exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, a creative mindset towards donor engagement, and strong project management capabilities.
This position offers a **hybrid** working arrangement, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the London office, with occasional flexibility needed for events.
