Job Title: Autocentre Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Autocentre General Manager / Garage or Service Manager to join our team at Motorecruit Ltd in Wigan.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a mechanical background and experience of managing an effective team within the automotive or motor trade Service, Maintenance and Repair sector. They will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and motivate a team of technicians and support staff to achieve high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective service strategies to meet customer needs and improve business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitor and control costs to achieve budget targets.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for business growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Service Manager, Branch Manager, or Centre Manager in the automotive or motor trade sector.
  • Strong mechanical background and knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
