The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Digital Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Leonardo, a global high-tech company and one of the key players in Aerospace, Defence and Security. As a member of our Airborne Communications product development group, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital electronics for our next-generation airborne communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop digital electronics for inter-vehicle data link systems, including PCB layout and schematic entry.
  • Collaborate with our antenna design team to develop RF and control subsystems.
  • Work closely with our embedded software and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of digital electronics with software and firmware components.
  • Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, including design implementation, integration and test, system trials and product delivery.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in digital electronics design, including PCB layout and schematic entry.
  • Strong understanding of RF and control subsystems, including antenna design and integration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
