Priory Group Job Description

Cook - Part Time

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Priory Hospital Market Weighton. As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning and preparing healthy and balanced meals for our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and cook meals for up to 20 service users, ensuring that dietary requirements and allergens are taken into account.
  • Maintain a sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to Food Safety in Commercial Kitchen policies and procedures.
  • Order and receive deliveries for the kitchen, including maintaining stock levels and stock rotation.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills and ability to work flexibly.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Common sense approach to problem solving and motivation to deliver high-quality results.
  • NVQ or equivalent in cooking or a related field.
  • Food Safety Qualification level 2 or above.
