Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with complex conditions, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex conditions, developing and implementing effective treatment plans to improve their physical function and quality of life.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.
  • Participate in the planning and development of physiotherapy services, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
  • Model and deliver excellent evidence-based clinical care, working autonomously as a Specialist Physiotherapist.
  • Support the community rehabilitation and reablement model, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Specialist Physiotherapist who possesses the following skills and qualifications:

  • Professional Qualification - Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Current Professional registration - HCPC
  • Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
  • Extensive post-registration experience in medical, surgical, orthopaedic, and neurological settings
  • Comprehensive experience of working as a physiotherapist with patients with complex conditions
  • Experience of co-ordinating and delegating tasks to others within a team
