Deputy Pathology Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust team as a Deputy Pathology Quality Manager. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with our Pathology Quality Manager, Clinical Leads, and departmental leaders to design, implement, and develop our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring that we meet and exceed regulatory and accreditation standards.
About the RoleAs the Deputy Quality Manager, you will be instrumental in harmonizing quality processes across the service, ensuring compliance with UKAS standards, and managing day-to-day quality operations. You will also deputise for the Pathology Quality Manager in handling Freedom of Information requests and analysing Datix incident trends.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the design and implementation of quality systems in alignment with the Pathology Service Manager and Quality Manager's strategies.
- Assist in harmonizing quality processes across the service to meet user needs and support departments in maintaining compliance with UKAS standards.
- Participate in quality initiatives, provide expertise to ensure accreditation compliance, and manage day-to-day quality operations.
- Deputise for the Pathology Quality Manager in handling Freedom of Information requests and analysing Datix incident trends.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A highly developed specialist knowledge of Pathology Quality Management underpinned by theoretical and practical experience.
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and train staff.
- Significant experience and lead services which comply with MHRA, UKAS systems, and standards.
