Deputy Manager Position

Staff Match is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join an established nursery group in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for early years education, team building, and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Nursery Manager to provide cover in times of absence and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Ensure all staff understand and comply with nursery policies and procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and consistency.
- Support and mentor staff in the EYFS curriculum, ensuring accurate recording of children's learning and development.
- Review and monitor planning within rooms and across the nursery, driving continuous improvement and quality.
- Conduct regular staff supervisions, identifying training needs and opportunities for growth.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and other childcare professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Attend staff meetings, open days, and nursery events, promoting a sense of community and shared purpose.
- Maintain correct staff ratios, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Coordinate staff meetings and training, driving professional development and excellence.
- Ongoing training and support, with opportunities for career development and growth.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
