About the Role
The Mechanical Fitter Specialist will be responsible for conducting the assembly, testing, delivery, commissioning, installation, and repair of projects for the subsea sector. This includes assisting in the completion of all production documentation (job cards, check lists, inspection and FAT reports). Works will be conducted within the workshop environment and on-site at clients' facilities/vessels, working with light and heavy engineering fabrications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or assist with the assembly of complex structural assemblies to technical drawings.
- Liaise with the Project Engineering Team when conducting the lead on a project task.
- Ensure a quality build and follow assembly and inspection procedures.
- Provide technical assistance for customers, which may involve site visits of both a national and international nature, both offshore and onshore.
- Assist with fault finding and detailed service reporting when conducting service work.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
- Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and environment.
- Promote quality, efficiency, and a high standard of work ethic.
- Assist the engineering team in conducting tasks as detailed by the Head of Construction.
