KineticPlc is seeking a seasoned Senior Sourcing Specialist for an 8-Month Contract with a Global Manufacturing business.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will join the Mechanical Systems category team as a full-time, hybrid role, requiring occasional site visits for team-related projects. The majority of the work will be done from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply bases to inform sourcing process improvement initiatives.
  2. Source specialized items and execute complex sourcing strategies in accordance with agreed-upon sourcing plans at the optimal cost, quality, and relationship.
  3. Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to support business objectives, such as supply security, reduction of complexity, or financial targets.
  4. Implement sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category/commodity strategies, reflecting the optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
  5. Analyze complex sourcing and procurement initiatives and processes to deliver cost-effective and high-quality goods and services.
  6. Support procurement/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.
  7. Lead analysis projects/initiatives, providing coaching to less experienced analysts and specialists.
  8. Understand the importance of compliance and be alert to situations that can pose risk.
  9. Data Analytics: Discover, interpret, and communicate qualitative and quantitative data.
  10. Category Strategy Development: Establish regional category strategy using Total Value Performance (TVP) approach to define the Supply Base, Tooling and Technology Strategy to meet all current and future needs; Manage risk and inclusion of diverse suppliers.
  11. Negotiations Excellence: Utilize tools and methods in negotiations to achieve stakeholder objectives and achieve a mutually agreed-upon contract.
  12. Procurement Policies, Procedures, Tools: Understand all relevant Procurement policies and procedures and comply with them in daily work.
